All funds raised by The Underwater Dinner Party will be equally divided between the following charitable organisations:

WELL DONE!!!
Well we’ve certainly created a bit of a stir around the world. And, (my favorite grammatical typo), we were certainly the largest formal dinner party on earth. There’s some work to do to formalise the world records, through verification and authentication, so please be patient!!

So in the meantime, a massive thank you to all who took part and of course the sponsors that made the underwater dinner possible now including Waterbaby, Little Penguin, and Feel Good Drinks, and not forgetting our fantastic bands who played for us free: The Circus of Magnesium Therapy, Isodore & Clay and The Eric Gilchrist Jazz Quartet!
Of course now is the time to get collecting your sponsor money in and getting friends, family and colleagues to donate on line, whilst we amass the information to try and formalise our world record bid.
Photos
For those who are desperate for their photos underwater, please dont panic. As per the Waterbaby website cards that we handed out, these take 72 hours you upload and I have been reliably informed that that is Tuesday 25 September!!!!

See if you made the press
In case you missed the TV coverage - take a look at the following links for London Today and London Tonight!!!!!!!!!! Well done Robyn Dwyer, London Tonight presenter for her completion of the dive!
And in case you missed one of the many national and international press articles that the event has and still is generating, simply do a ‘google’ of underwater dinner and you’ll certainly find a fair few. Apart form the massive interest in Italy, it was great that Adam Lusher from the Telegraph (who also took part) gave us such a great write up!
Raising sponsorship for our 6 fabulous charities
Please do try and collect all money within 2 weeks of the event and pay on-line via the donate section or forward a cheque payable to the "Underwater Dinner Fund" attention: Tim Slater, The Park Club, East Acton Lane, London, W3 7HB. This bank account has a charter stating that all monies will be divided equally between our 6 registered charities.
Well done and enjoy those pictures! High-resolution versions will be available through this website at a minimum charge of £20 each. More on this to follow.
So what is this all about?!
On Saturday 22nd September 2007 at The Park Club, West London, diners will be sitting down to a 3 course banquet... underwater! The purpose of this bizarre extravaganza is to raise some serious dosh for some very worthwhile charities.
England scrum half Matt Dawson toasts the Underwater Dinner Party
Background
On June 26 1989, 8 people including Chris Darwin, great great grandson of Charles Darwin, sat down to a 3 course banquet on the summit of Mt Huascarán, Peru (22,604 ft). Known as the “Social Climbers”, these complete lunatics attained a World Record for the Highest Formal dinner party on earth, whilst raising over £10,000 for the National Heart Foundation.
On March 15, 1991, 100 – or so people sat down to another dinner party – this time underwater! With Jimmy Nail as the Head Waiter, Radio One presenting the organisers with the Golden Nose for the Maddest Sporting Event, BBC, ITV, Sky and national press covering the event, over &pund;50,000 was raised for Comic Relief’s Mad Sporting Week in just under 4 days!
AND NOW.... on Saturday 22nd September 2007, health Club members from The Hogarth Group, their friends and people from all over the place will sit down to another culinary extravaganza, as a formal bid to hold The Largest Formal Underwater Dinner Party on Earth. As with the 1991 event, this is organised by “Hangers On” of the social climbers along with other slightly deranged individuals who were around who are simply crazy about raising oodles of sponds (lots of money) for their favourite national and local (West London) charities..
Assistance with the technical aspects of dining and breathing underwater has been forthcoming from The International Space School and our expert dive masters at The London School of Diving, a PADI 5* Centre.
The event itself will be hosted at The Park Club in West London which is providing a rather splendid 25 metre outdoor swimming pool. There will be over 40 dive masters on tap, we have also had donations of some seriously outrageous ballgowns from London’s top fashion houses...
The table is being set!
